“His pleasure is not in the strength of the horse, nor his delight in the legs of the warrior; the Lord delights in those who fear him, who put their hope in his unfailing love.” Psalm 147v9-10
Hope is an exception for the bliss that’s waiting for you right around the corner. It’s there, you may not be able to see it yet, but you know because you know because you know it’s only a matter of moments before you get to taste it… and it’s this posture we can adopt right now towards the hope of God’s love for us no matter what we’ve done or how we feel about it.
In fact, you’re already in it, in Him.
So whatever hell is around you right now… look up, break your gaze with it, and see the Father’s eyes full of delight and approval over you as a smile defines His countenance even now.
It’s in this place, where we’re again aware that we are righteous, safe, secure, and loved because Love itself has pulled us close.
Father behind me, Father before me, Father in front of me.
Jesus behind me, Jesus before me, Jesus in front of me.
Holy Spirit of God behind me, Holy Spirit of God before me, Holy Spirit of God in front of me.
In you, I find rest.
And it’s Your rest that gives me the strength to again put my hope, fixing my attention, onto Your love yesterday, Your love today, and Your love tomorrow.
Thank you God for calling me Your daughter / Your son, the one You love.
I am Your Beloved… and right now, receive Your present to me of resting forward in the hope of full restoration and life both now and to come.
